Michelino’s Pizzeria: The Ultimate Pizza Destination in Rahway, NJ

I moved to Rahway three years ago, and Michelino’s quickly became my favorite spot! Not only is their pizza amazing, but their sandwiches and other dishes are just as good. Five stars all the way! The owner, John, is always present and truly dedicated to his business — you can tell he cares about every customer. Highly recommend! P.s. Michelino’s buffalo wings much better that World Famous’s place! 16” Italian sub is the game player as well! Saying it as being Russian.

For my graduation night, Michelino’s was everything I could have hoped for. Mr. John treated us like VIPs, setting up a beautiful table just for us and making the whole place feel like our own private celebration. The food was incredible!!! The vegan options which is super hard to find for my sister was also Amazing and the entire experience was just magical. He really made my night so special and I can’t thank him enough for the care he put into every detail.

ORDER THE BUFFALO CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK! This is not an item on the menu (yet). As a Philly native i was looking for a good Buffalo Chicken Cheesteak in the Rahway area while visiting for work. I called up Michelino's and met the owner who was excited to accommodate making this style of cheesesteak. A few questions about the sandwich and we made it happen. Sandwich was made in my local style with the right ratio of blue cheese to hot sauce. Hope to see this on their official menu soon. This is now my local pizza spot when I'm up Rahway area.

As a mother, I couldn't have been more pleased with Michelino’s. The care and attention to detail from Mr. John was outstanding. He made sure our family celebration was perfect. The vegan ingredients were of the highest quality, and even for those of us who enjoy a classic pepperoni, or even a garden pizza everything was delicious. The entire evening felt like a special event just for us, and I’m so grateful for how he made us feel truly at home.

A delayed review from when I originally went but the pizza hasn’t left my mind! I went along with my parents on the promise of great pizza and as someone who lives in Queens, this is hands down some of the best pizza I had this past year. John, the owner, came over to speak to us and he was incredibly friendly and sweet the whole time. I always judge a pizza place on their buffalo chicken slices (don’t forget the blue cheese!) and I’m still thinking about the one I had here. The sauce was amazing and flavorful, a good balance of the buffalo chicken with the blue cheese drizzled on, and the plain slice was just as good. For anyone in Rahway I would 100% recommend going for good pizza!

Michelino's is located on East Milton Avenue, near Irving Street, in downtown Rahway, New Jersey. This remains a popular pizzeria for takeout, but I enjoy sitting down in one of the booths and relaxing a bit. The friendly service continues as does the pleasant lighting and low-key atmosphere. I had a chicken parmesan sandwich, and the bread was fresh and the chicken perhaps somewhat bland. I will return for pizza next time I stop in downtown Rahway. Always a good stop.

I’ve been going to Michelino’s Pizzeria for many years, and it never disappoints! The pizza here is absolutely top-notch — always fresh, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Whether it’s a classic slice, a specialty pie, or any of their other dishes, everything is made with care and consistency. What really makes Michelino’s stand out, though, is the amazing staff. They’re always friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. And John, the owner, is one of the best — not only does he run a great restaurant, but he’s also an incredible person who genuinely cares about his customers and the community. He’s constantly supporting local schools, events, and causes, which says a lot about his character and dedication. If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a place that truly represents what a neighborhood pizzeria should be, Michelino’s is the spot. Highly recommend!

I was in Rahway for work and figured I'd check out this spot as they seem to have an extensive vegan menu! It's super easy and convenient to get to since it's just steps away from the Rahway station. I decided to order a personal vegan pie with peppers and vegan sausage. The pizza came out with a perfectly crispy thin crust and the peppers were spot on. The pizza was just the right size and had melted Violife cheese, which is one of my go-to vegan cheeses. Alex and the whole crew there were awesome and made me feel right at home. It’s a simple spot, but it’s tastefully decorated, including a well-maintained bathroom that even had a hook for your belongings. Even though I live pretty far away, I will definitely come back to try out more of their menu. The only thing I'd love to see is some U/staple racks out front for those getting around on bikes or scooters.
